Mya Hansen hit a reverse layup with 21 seconds left to lead Boise State women's basketball to a 68-64 win over San Jose State, Wednesday, at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Boise State will return to ExtraMile Arena for a pair of home games, starting with a 3 p.m. MT tipoff on Saturday, Jan. 20 against Utah State.

The Idaho State men's tennis team returns to the court for the beginning of their spring season this weekend. To open their 2024 slate the Bengals will be traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada for their season-opener at UNLV on Thursday, January 18th. Following their match at UNLV, Idaho State will head up to Boise, Idaho where they will face off with Boise State on Sunday, January 20th.

From the high school basketball games yesterday, first for the boys, Raft River defeated Murtaugh 59 to 55.  For the girls, Richfield downed Dietrich 46 to 41.

On the schedule for high school varsity basketball games, first for the Boys, Twin Falls

Christian Academy heads north to the Sun Valley Community School, Filer goes to Buhl, Burley to Caldwell, Jerome crosses the bridge to Canyon Ridge, Declo will host Soda Springs.  Camas County goes to Dietrich, Mountain Home to Minico and Hagerman travels to Richfield.  Wood River heads south to play the Twin Falls Bruins.

For the girls, Valley travels to Hansen, Carey is on the bus to Raft River, Oakley goes to Glenns Ferry, and Kimberly travels to Gooding.  Elsewhere Lighthouse Christian heads to Murtaugh.  Castleford will visit Shoshone.
