Saying goodbye to a fallen officer.  Mourners gathered at the ford Idaho center yesterday to say goodbye to fallen Ada County sheriff deputy Tobin Bolter.  Hundreds of members of the public and law enforcement officers from around the region gathered outside of the arena to witness the arrival of Bolter’s hearse and coffin.  Bolter died after being shot during a traffic stop.  Dennis Mulqueen, the 65-year-old man suspected of shooting Bolter, was shot by Boise police hours after the traffic stop. He died from his injuries.



A near head on collision has claimed the life of a 30 year old Rigby woman in  Blaine County.  Police say it happened just before 11 am on highway 20 near Stanton’s crossing.  Justeine Baker was westbound when she attempted to pass a semi-truck.  She failed to see a pickup that was eastbound.  She drove off the road, jumped the river channel and crashed into a dirt embankment.  Two passengers were taken to the hospital.  The woman died at the scene.



An Idaho Falls man was arrested last week and charged with disturbing wildlife after he allegedly kicked a bison in the leg after drinking at Yellowstone National Park and harassed the rest of the herd, getting himself injured in the process.  40 year old Clarence Yoder, 40, is accused of the incident near the west entrance of the park on April 21.



More decisions at the polls.  Idahoans for Open Primaries says it has more than enough signatures to get open primaries and ranked choice voting on the November ballot. Now it not only needs voters to approve it, but has to get past the Attorney General Raul Labrador who has indicated he may sue to stop it.



Blaine County Sheriff Steve Harkins said he is battling a huge rumor mill in his county.  He is asking that residents stop the spread of fear and rumors about the existence of child sex trafficking.  He said it’s completely untrue and that they have not received any report of sex trafficking.



Two people were injured yesterday afternoon just before 3 along U.S. 30 in Twin Falls County.  Police say a 94 year old male pulled in front of a car at the intersection of 3300 east sending both drivers to the hospital for treatment.
