Tension rose last night as Idaho State Police and Boise Police officers removed a pro-Palestinian encampment placed on the state Capitol steps.   Around 8 p.m., a mix of ISP and BPD officers told the group to clear out from the steps, saying Idaho Code prevents anyone from blocking the entrance of public and state facilities. 



The 9th circuit heard arguments over Idaho’s abortion trafficking law.  The hour long discussion centered over whether Idaho's abortion trafficking law violates the constitution revolved around how the state defines terms including "recruitment" in relation to the crime of trafficking.  The Idaho State Legislature passed a law to ban people from helping minor access abortion outside Idaho without parental consent.



Police in Twin Falls are asking for the public’s help in locating a local teen.  Harkin Burgess was last seen at Canyon Ridge High School just after 8 Tuesday morning.  He is 5 foot 6 138 pounds with dark brown hair and blue eyes.  Call the police dispatch if you can help with locating him.



A Jerome man is recovering from injuries he received when police  K-9’s were used to help bring him into custody.  Jerome police were called to the 500 block of West D on reports that gunshots were being fired.  When they arrived they found a male who was intoxicated and shooting rounds in the air. 



An invocation from the president of the universal society of Hinduism was cancelled.  Jerome County commissioners sent an e-mail to Rajan Zed saying that due to public outcry, his appointment on Monday had been removed from the agenda.  Many residents took to Facebook to express concern after the agenda had been posted on May 2nd. 



Court records in Twin Falls say the CSI student body president was taken into custody Tuesday.  21 year old Dylan Ray is facing 15 felony counts of distributing child sexual material.  If convicted, Ray faces 30 years in prison or a $50,000 fine for each felony charge, which totals to a fine of $750,000. His bail is set at $500,000.
